A Gallery for Understanding Misunderstandings
IN[ARCH] Summer 2022

Located on 2555 College avenue, this project reimagines the 2100 square foot site where a former auto-repair use to reside.

The Gallery for Understanding Misunderstanding reinterprets circulation and how one typically circulates a space. Circulation dictates how people understand their surroundings. By altering how one enters and walks around a particular space, their perception of the space also changes. A new perspective means greater insight. To truly understand a matter, one must inspect all sides of it. By looking at different viewpoints, one can only gain a greater understanding of what they misunderstood.

The public and private spaces occupy the two levels of the house. The public space is more open and visible while the private spaces are more discreet.
